"Hack Arizona 2026, the University of Arizona's flagship student-run hackathon, brought together a diverse group of students for a 24-hour experience centered on innovation, collaboration, and hands-on learning. The event welcomed participants from multiple disciplines, encouraging both technical and non-technical students to come together and build impactful solutions.
Throughout the hackathon, participants formed teams and developed projects across a variety of sponsored and nonprofit challenge tracks, including artificial intelligence, environmental sustainability, public health, education, and social innovation. These tracks were designed in collaboration with industry partners and community organizations to address real-world problems and create meaningful impact.
The event featured workshops led by industry professionals, mentorship from experienced engineers and researchers, and opportunities for students to engage directly with sponsors. Participants built functional prototypes, explored emerging technologies such as AI and cloud computing, and gained practical experience in rapid product development..."
