Volunteers Wanted for the AAC&U Conference on Learning and Student Success (CLASS) Conference!

AAC&U’s 2026 Conference on Learning and Student Success (CLASS) is April 15-18, 2026 in Tucson, Arizona. "This year’s theme—courageous care—recognizes that transformative education emerges when institutions genuinely prioritize student and educator learning, well-being, belonging, and success. The challenges facing higher education today demand more than defending the status quo. Addressing these challenges requires a complete reimagining of undergraduate education. At CLASS 2026, we will celebrate the educators who refuse to retreat and instead double down on what works while boldly exploring what's next.”  We invite you to learn more about CLASS at https://www.aacu.org/event/class-2026 . 

We are excited to work with the University of Arizona in support of the success of this conference. Volunteers are a very important part of CLASS. They support Innovation and Petcha Kutcha sessions, providing a welcoming atmosphere, and supporting a smooth conference experience. 

As a thank you for your volunteer commitment, we are offering graduate student volunteers who wish to attend the remainder of the conference:

  1. Waived conference registration (with a minimum of 4 hours of volunteer time)
  2. Possible poster session participation (There are limited spots available due to capacity). There are questions in the survey that asks if graduate student volunteers are interested in presenting and if so, asks required information about the proposed topic for review and selection. See this link for appropriate conference tracks: https://www.aacu.org/conferences/class-2026/meeting-tracks-and-session-formats
  3. Volunteer recognition at the conference

Staff and Faculty volunteers:

  1. Letters of Service from AAC&U to be placed in their dossier for promotion and tenure.
  2. Volunteer recognition at the conference

You will also be asked to attend a volunteer meeting on April 14th, time TBD which will include instructions and a walk through of the hotel spaces and rooms. Please mark your calendar.  You can find the volunteer sign-up form here:

We appreciate your willingness to consider this request. The deadline to sign up if you are a graduate student volunteer interested in submitting for a poster presentation is Friday, February 27th, 2026.  If you are a general volunteer (graduate student, staff, or faculty member), the deadline is Friday, March 13th, 2026. If you have any questions, please contact Randi Congleton at rcongleton@aacu.org.
